So it is only day 2 and good news, I already sensed thoughts that aren't mine. The bad news is, I can't tell if my tulpa is changing form or trying to be replaced by a walk in.
don't think about that! that doubt will seriously hurt development, if your tulpa is acting differently from what you imagined thats a good thing usually. Deviation is one of the best signs that your tulpa is becoming their own person. Remember walk ins cant join your system unless you let them.
2:50 AM
A walk in cant replace your tulpa, the community spreads a lot of harmful and damaging ideas of walk ins that you should not feed into for your own system
That's fair enough I suppose. I guess I was a bit alarmed by the amount of development in one day. I have heard that form changes were often small and not as large as what I got (she aged 30 years and had a whole accent and name change)
typically changes are slower but everyone is different. With a tulpa that young i would expect some changes until they settle into what they want to be.
2:56 AM
Its good that you are allowing them to change parts of themself, that will make it easier for them to be their own person
Granted, if your tulp only just got to speaking verbally two days ago, it's going to take some time before her voice is more recognizable.
3:52 AM
Also, throw the entire parrotnoia thing out the window. Parroting is a conscious act, and it's not going to be horrible even if you did do it on accident.
3:53 AM
Just assume that those responses you're getting are her. This relies upon a lot of believing in something even if the results aren't quite there yet. If your mindset is focused on failing/running into issues, it's going to be harder to get where you want to be progress-wise.
if you arent parroting intentionally it is not parroting(edited)
3:57 AM
Also parroting is a legit strait to get a tulpa to vocality it should not be demonized the way people do, its not some evil action thats taking away your tulpa's ability to be themselves or some bullshit. Its only a problem if you are trying to parrot a tulpa that already is formed and can speak on their own. A tulpa thats developed enough to not need parroting can tell you to fuck off when you try to do it to them

When they tell you to fuck off when you try to do it
4:00 AM
Well there you go, if you feel like you are parroting, you aren’t. Because if you were your tulpa is developed enough to tell you to stop it and let them speak on their own. There, parrotnoia fixed
It's one of those things I see new tulpamancers worry themselves to death over, when it literally makes no difference whether its done or not.
4:02 AM
They'll get to a point where they'll be able to speak up about it, and then you either
1. Know it's time to stop intentionally parroting
2. They'll likely be distinct enough for you to tell the difference between you and them, getting rid of paranoid worries surrounding you speaking on their behalf.
If you keep worrying about parroting all you will do is ignore them while they are saying legit things to you because you are labeling them as yourself, massively hindering your ability to do pretty much everything in tulpamancy. Throw out all the parrotnoia bullshit, it’s never helpful in any stage
Doubt is going to hinder you basically every step of the way. If possible, I'd go into this with utmost confidence.
4:03 AM
Even if it's forced, even if you may not feel like you're on the right track, it's better to fake it until you get results than to worry and never get there ever.
4:04 AM
I get it, I think we've got something like that, but again, doubting stalls actual progress.
What I've found helps me is to talk to my headmates, ask for clarification, and take their words for it.

Then to accept their honest response, and move on as much as possible, putting the paranoia behind us.
Lucilyn: Tulpas sounding/feeling different from your own thoughts develops over time, you're right on track(edited)
3:32 PM
Some people get that early on, but in most cases it's a part of their development process, attached to vocality in general
3:33 PM
eventually tulpas become impossible to mistake for yourself, but it doesn't start that way (except maybe if you're already a years-experienced tulpamancer who just created a new tulpa, because in that case your brain has already learned tulpamancy, so the new tulpa just needs time to develop as a person is all)
Lucilyn: well some people do, though the thing is, in the tulpa community we generally consider most forms of plurality to just be tulpas with a different name(edited)
I'm just trying to stay consistent from the discussion a few days prior. I agree that this isn't the best place to get an answer for a question as serious as that.
